- You eat delicious or nutritious or nuturing foods in any or all of the combinations at any time when that is the food you wish to eat.
- You have a “practice” of exercise that embraces your beliefs. You exercise merely for the pleasure of it. You don’t flog your body but move with a gentleness and appreciation.
- You don’t wake up every morning, pee and then step on the scales. A number has no influence on you. You trust your body and don’t need scales.
- You take it extra easy and may do nothing other than breathe at “that time of month” as you know that this is a time of releasing and regeneration.
- You wear clothes that are comfortable and make you feel good.
- As the weather changes you dress for the seasons and when you realise you need new clothes you go shopping.
- When you go shopping you take two sizes into the change room. The one you think you are and then the size above, just in case
. - You try the size 10′s on wondering and thinking as you pull them up and to your satisfaction they fit absolutely beautifully even though a part of you still can’t believe it.
- You get a couple of other different styles just to make sure and yep, same again.
- Just to make doubley extra sure you go to a different store and again take a few styles in size 10. WTF it must be true
. - You’re able to borrow your daughter’s clothes whom you consider normal weight for her age (nearly 12).
- You know that your body loves you and you love your body, even when you do still, occasionally, have “fat” days.
- You are a butterfly.

Nice post Shelley. I particularly like the points about exercising for the pleasure of it, and not needing scales. Oh, and the butterfly quote. Cheers, Charlotte
